Entry #1: Me
Of all my hobbies that I enjoy like going hiking/camping with my family, watching sports, playing video games, and tweaking with RC cars my favorite is PC building. I've built three computers so far one being my friends. My first build cost me $700 dollars and it was pretty decent but lacked in performance so I just recently upgraded it costing me around $1200 dollars. I spent six months slowly saving and buying the parts one by one. I guess its kind of a nerdy hobby but to me its the most satisfying thing. Each step of building a computer is so fascinating and enjoyable, from buying the parts to finally powering your newly built computer on. Building your own computer is like putting together an extremely complicated puzzle.
Each component serves its own purpose and is no important than the other, so when you finally complete it I think its the most rewarding experience. When building your own computer you can customize and purchase parts based on your budget and purpose that you have in mind for your computer. You will have the flexibility to prioritize performance where it matters most. Its always better to build your own computer instead of buying a pre-built because you can save money and purchase parts to whatever you want to achieve with your computer. When building a pc its a pretty hands on experience and if you don't know what youre doing you could really mess up your parts costing you some money. So make sure you spend some time researching and watching youtube videos (thats how I learned).
If your not sure where to start don't worry its easier than it looks. You want to start by deciding on what your build is going to be used for whether it be for gaming, content creation, workstation, or and all around performer. Building a PC is a step-by-step process, and with the right resources and patience, you can create a machine that perfectly suits your purpose. Once it's up and running, the satisfaction of your hard work will be matched by the joy of having a personalized, high-performing computer at your fingertips. Here is my build so I can brag about it.
